Reflection

I am very grateful to have had the honor to do such a creative project for this class. I learned so much over the course of the creation of this commercial.       Starting out, before this project, I had never edited in a video software. I'm glad that using Caput was easy to figure out. Specifically, I figured out how to edit the transitions between the photos I chose. They had many options, that I had to go through and enter one by one in between every picture and video. This took some time to figure out, but I do love what it added to in my video. I specifically struggled with, and then learned, how to add music from a song that I chose into the edit. It was a hassle, attempting to move my edit to my iPhone, and then gather my music recordings, to then put into the edit I had to edit on my iPhone. I honestly thought at one point my commercial would delete, so I for some reason was very on edge while trying to enter my audio. Other than that, I found learning how to include

What's up gang! Last time I updated, I finished my commercial outline. I had included photos from swimming, the beach, my family and my friends. The videos I included had to do with swimming and in activities with my friends. After editing all the photos and videos, I made sure they all had my color scheme backdrop. From there on I had finished the commercial, besides the sound. I had kept putting off adding the music, especially two songs in such a short length video, as I didn't know how to do it. Although I was intimidated by it, I looked up videos online on how to do it exactly. After about an hour of looking over Capcut editing and music techniques, I fixed some of my commercial and started to add in my music. I decided for the first half of my video, from swimming to the beach, to use the song Sweet Life by Frank Ocean. From there, I attempted to add in the song Sunshine by Steve Lacy and Foushée, for the last half of my video, for my family and friends.

Hey Gang! It is currently my third day of my all about me commercial and the video is coming along great. So far, I have started with an introduction type of beginning for the commercial. I have then followed it with pictures and videos from my sport swimming. What has followed that are brief pictures of the beach and how I have edited the video since than. My progress since then has included photos of my family and I first. I have still not included the sound and music, as again, I want to see how the structure of the video first turns out. With all that considered, my plan is to put in the second song into the video here, but I will still have to see how it turns out. For the photos of my family and I, I wanted to show mostly nostalgic pictures for me. I included a couple of old pictures of my family and then a few recent photos, to show the comparison through the years. I feel the change in music could emphasize this point in the video, to show the importance of my family to me. I

Hey Guys! From when I first spoke to you, I have furthered my process into my commercial. I am primarily focused on the organization of my photos and videos, before I go into my music. I decided to start with photos from my sport, swimming. These photos include those at swim meets, and practices. I gathered this area of photos from my 2022-2023, swimming season. I am still including hints of my color scheme, of yellow, green, and blue. From there I included two small video clips of myself at practice, and the other of me at a previous swim meet, from the current swimming season. From there I have started to transition into only a few beach pictures, as I feel I spend a vast majority of my time there. I am planning on adding a change in song after these pictures, but I have not executed this idea yet. I have decided to leave the sound and music editing for until I completely finish putting together my photos.    I have also been making sure that the photos in my specific "areas&qu

Welcome back! I have officially started my All About my Commercial. I have also started to go through what apps to use and organize all of the media and music I will use, for it as well. I found it easy to narrow down which editing app to use for the project. Many creative minds do their best editing work on Capcut, so it seemed like the clear choice. To start off, I didn't even know how to use Capcut, so I was in need to look up a video on how to use it. I was relieved to find that it was quite simple to use, and then I continued on with my project. I found that playing around on the app, and allowing to use my creative freedom in the video, made Capcut the obvious choice over any other apps. From the amount of tools I had access to, to the quality the video it allowed me to receive, I knew I was giving myself the best set up with Capcut. When I started, I wanted to make sure I had a clear set up of the Commercial. What I meant by that, was how the final project was going to look

Welcome back!     I made my all about me commercial especially personal towards me. When choosing my pictures, I scoured my camera roll, as well as other pieces of media, like printed polaroids, and other printed photos. The first big piece of my life includes my sport, which is swimming. Pieces of media were found from my IPhone camera roll primarily, which dated back many years. Other photos had to be found through my parents, and printed photos not available digitally. Other pieces of media include medals and ribbons won through my sport. Many of the videos found from swimming came my parents, who recorded many of my races. Many of these videos are from when I was little, and first started out swimming. Other videos had to be found that were taken a long time ago by myself and other teammates. I found it really important to myself to include these photos and videos, because I've been on the same swim team my entire life. I take it very seriously, and it is truly a passion of mi

Hi, my name is Katherine and I’m in the 10th grade. I’m in competitive swimming, and I’ve been doing it my entire life. Painting and creative endeavors are some of my most passionate hobbies in life. In any free time I have, I’m usually looking for what to do in my next project, although my swimming keeps me very busy. I love to spend my free time on the weekends hanging out with my friends. We are either at the beach or the mall for the most part, but when we’re together something we love to do is bake. I think baking is superior to cooking and I would love to get more into it. The only times I have ever left the state, were to visit my grandparents, in Oregon and South Carolina, however I have always longed to travel. I would love to visit European countries, such as Switzerland or Germany. I believe the architecture there, and the weather are some of the most gorgeous in the world.   Another part of the world I would like to explore is the ocean. Getting my scuba certification an
