Production Blog - Process
Hey Guys! From when I first spoke to you, I have furthered my process into my commercial. I am primarily focused on the organization of my photos and videos, before I go into my music. I decided to start with photos from my sport, swimming. These photos include those at swim meets, and practices. I gathered this area of photos from my 2022-2023, swimming season. I am still including hints of my color scheme, of yellow, green, and blue. From there I included two small video clips of myself at practice, and the other of me at a previous swim meet, from the current swimming season. From there I have started to transition into only a few beach pictures, as I feel I spend a vast majority of my time there. I am planning on adding a change in song after these pictures, but I have not executed this idea yet. I have decided to leave the sound and music editing for until I completely finish putting together my photos.
I have also been making sure that the photos in my specific "areas" of my commercial are cohesive. I'm not a fan of photos being all over the place in a video, and I wanted to make sure they followed at least a close color scheme. Because I picked a "color scheme" focus of my commercial, and blue and green happen to be cool colors, and yellow is a warm color, I decided to use one of these colors on the photo that closely resembles the chosen picture. I did this to keep the video feel united together. I also feel that the attention to detail shows my creative side. I don't often take pictures of my paintings, so I feel like this editing technique can allow me to display some of skills. Although, stating that doesn't guarantee that I will not include a photo or two of some of my art, but at this moment I still stand unsure. I have not gone further than this in my commercial, however I next plan to include pictures and more videos of my friends and I. These photos will also include pictures of my family. My friends and family are obviously my two most valued focuses in my life, and I greatly value my relationships. I will have to find the best way to put together my photos for these to convey my emotions correctly. Until then however, I got to go!
