 Welcome back!

    I made my all about me commercial especially personal towards me. When choosing my pictures, I scoured my camera roll, as well as other pieces of media, like printed polaroids, and other printed photos. The first big piece of my life includes my sport, which is swimming. Pieces of media were found from my IPhone camera roll primarily, which dated back many years. Other photos had to be found through my parents, and printed photos not available digitally. Other pieces of media include medals and ribbons won through my sport. Many of the videos found from swimming came my parents, who recorded many of my races. Many of these videos are from when I was little, and first started out swimming. Other videos had to be found that were taken a long time ago by myself and other teammates. I found it really important to myself to include these photos and videos, because I've been on the same swim team my entire life. I take it very seriously, and it is truly a passion of mine that made it easy to find pictures and videos of. I decided to use the song Sweet Life, by Frank Ocean, to represent this part of my video. This song is especially about appreciating what is surrounding you, and I find so much joy in my surroundings, especially swimming. 

     To connect the song to my photos, a big part of the song focuses on the beach, and I felt it important to include photos of the beach in my commercial about me. Although it may seem cliche, it seems when I have free time, I'm inviting my friends to the beach along with me. Even when I leave the state, I always seem to find my way back to the beach, so looking through years worth of beach pictures on my phone, and old seashell projects seemed to be important to include.

     The next song I'm planning on adding to my commercial is Sunshine, by Steve Lacy & Foushee. This song holds a type of nostalgia for me, although it isn't considered an especially old song. I feel like when I listen to this I feel at peace, and it makes me nostalgic of the memories I hold with my friends. Hanging out with my friends makes me feel like my true self, and it's like a break from struggles of school and occasionally my sport. Finding these photos were the easiest, as I have many pictures of my friends and I on my IPhone, as well as physical printed photos, that I already had displayed.

     Being creative, and being able to add design into my life, even if a small bit, brings joy to myself as well. From painting to drawing, I enjoy to add flare to projects that come my way. Being able to display some of my work into this commercial would make this project feel especially personal to me.
