Intro Blog

   Hi, my name is Katherine and I’m in the 10th grade. I’m in competitive swimming, and I’ve been doing it my entire life. Painting and creative endeavors are some of my most passionate hobbies in life. In any free time I have, I’m usually looking for what to do in my next project, although my swimming keeps me very busy. I love to spend my free time on the weekends hanging out with my friends. We are either at the beach or the mall for the most part, but when we’re together something we love to do is bake. I think baking is superior to cooking and I would love to get more into it. The only times I have ever left the state, were to visit my grandparents, in Oregon and South Carolina, however I have always longed to travel. I would love to visit European countries, such as Switzerland or Germany. I believe the architecture there, and the weather are some of the most gorgeous in the world.

  Another part of the world I would like to explore is the ocean. Getting my scuba certification and being able to explore reefs and parts of the ocean really hold my interest. Although there is a fear of the unknown, nothing would be known without taking a leap of faith. Something I also love is music. I feel that the right music can fit into any situation and can help people through difficult times. If I could, I would always listen to music, because it can make the mood better wherever you are. From R&B to Pop, it depends on the feeling of the moment. There aren’t many things I have a “fear” or dislike for, but something that holds uncertainty for me is my future. I feel that I have so many interests and to settle down on one for the rest of my life can seem scary at times. Just the works of being decisive is something I don’t know and need to work on. Taking classes such as this one help to influence my creative mind however, and I’m interested to learn more.
