Title Design

Image
Title Font - The idea was to use the font, Times New Roman, in bold, to display all of the titles, including the title of our final project. This font was used to keep the idea of the oil simple, but with a classic tone, to make sure there isn't too much focus taken away from what the characters are doing in the background.          ( Times New Roman )     Title Color - We plan to have each of the titles done in a dark red color, to hint at the darker theme of the film, but to also make sure the titles could be seen against the lighter, indoor setting. ( Example ) Title Size - The most likely title size for our project will be a medium-large sized font, that would take up the corner of the screen, but not too big of a space, to not cover the background. Titles such as "Directed by:", would be in a size bigger than  the name that would follow that title, ex. Directed by: Katherine V. The title of the movie is also going to be significantly bigger than the other titles, i

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

Image
Welcome back blog!  One of our main focuses for our final task is the title design. It is crucial for an opening sequence since it sets the aesthetic and feel for the rest of the movie. Firstly, I used the website "Art of the Title" as a research platform for my title research. While searching through the website, I saw that the website has a wide variety of title types. It includes videos to show how the titles appear on screen. This feature is effective because it allows the viewer to see how the titles work in a video. Another website I used to research is "Watch the Titles." This website was well-organized and included various types of films. The website was similar to "Art of the Title" regarding information. Down below is the logo of the main website I used, "Art of the Title"

The following slides give a list of titles, including the editor, the assistant director, the camera operators, the additional photographers, the assistant art directors, and the Austrian advisor. The next slide includes a list including the production manager, the sound supervisor, editor and recorder, the assembly cutter, the make

In the beginning of the title sequence, there is the image of an explosion happening in what looks like a jungle, and a camp on the outskirts being deserted, and then a wide shot to show the full scale of the explosion. After that the title of the movie is given behind a black screen, and the next scenes are given to tell a story.  We are introduced to

Title Research: Signs

Received from: www.artofthetitle.com  Signs What titles are displayed in the opening sequence? The production company is the first title that is shown in the sequence, then followed by the main actors names, the title of the movie itself, more actors names, and who casted the actors. What followed that was who the music was done by, the visual effects supervisors, the costume designer, the editor, the production designer, the director of photography, the executive producer, the main producers, and then the person who wrote, produced and directed the movie. What images are prioritized in the title sequence? There are no explicit images shown during the title sequence, however the titles are all presented in the same manor. All of the titles are in the same formal font, and in the color black, over a background of a blue circle that fades into a black back of the circle. Each title card fades into each other as well. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the title sequ
