 What's up gang?    Today will be the final touch ups to our film, and the leading into our soundtrack. Asking for permission for certain soundtracks can be a bit of a task, so forgive me for keeping on putting off finishing it all together. Today, we went through our film as a whole, and how it looks, and we planned for where to enter in certain sound tracks, and if we should add in certain special effects, or do reshoots. We decided that a few of our long and close up shots should be redone, and we also chose where to place sound effects. The shots we decided to redo were ones that did not include Santiago, the little boy we are babysitting. This is because we don't have the luxury of being able to see him at all times. We decided that all the shots including him were proficient though. We mostly needed more reshoots done in the kitchen. Specifically, a long shot of Camila and I in the kitchen, and a few closeups of our baking. Although it may seem like a hassle to redo...

 What's up gang? Camila and I finished up our editing today, although more work is still to be done. Before today, we had finished the ordering of the clips and putting them together. We made sure that they were cropped enough so each clip would flow into each other. After this, we added in the titles needed. Each title assigned to each clip needed a different size according to what the contents of the shot were. However, the font remained the same in each clip. At the end of our last blog, we stated that we would be looking for our soundtrack currently. We have decided to leave that for a bit longer, as we are finding trouble finding the perfect sounds for it. We are also having issues trying to mute certain clips, so we decided due to technical difficulties, the addition of music could wait.  What's up gang? Camila and I have continued the editing process since we have last updated you. We left off, stating we still needed to edit the soundtrack, the titles, and a few technical issues of the task. During the duration of editing today, we entered in our titles, and fixed off the issues we found that were in the clipped together shots. We found it best to leave the soundtrack for last, so it could give us more time to find the perfect sounds and tracks for each part of the film. We had already previously picked our fonts, and the order our titles would go in, so it just came to putting it together in the end, and deciding the best place to put the titles. In shots that were done with a long shot, we had the luxury of deciding where we wanted to put our titles. Usually we would place the titles in a bigger size, with the same font in a corner of these certain clips. In close-up shots, we had to make sure we put the titles somewhere where we wouldn't be blocking someth...

 What's up gang? We've only recently wrapped up filming, so we're just getting started on the editing process. We started by going through each footage again and selecting which ones should have made it into the final cut. This required us to rewatch over 70 clips, so it took a while. Yet in the end, we decided on the ones that went together the best and we liked the most. Following that, we had to resize the clips and arrange them according to the scenes. We checked to make sure the audio was clear and that the total number of clips fit inside the allotted time. We are going to use CapCut for our editing procedure. We are both accustomed to using this app's tools because we have both utilized it for prior projects. Camila is responsible for labeling some of the video and ensuring proper cropping. I am in charge of adding the remaining labels and ensuring that the videos flow naturally into one another. The fact that we have already completed two projects that need edit...

 What's up gang? This is a continuation of Camila and I's filming for our final project. Since it was the only day we could see Santiago, we filmed every scenario he was in on February 14, 2024. We regrouped five days later to record all of the scenes that had gone missing. In order to truly make a cake, we wanted to begin with the scenes of the materials. We only had one chance to do this, so we made sure everything went flawlessly. We only had one cake mix, so we couldn't afford to make a mistake, so it was a little nerve-racking. But we succeeded in getting every shot just right, and we had fun combining the components. Following this, we had to film both our moments together in the kitchen and our solo scenes. Since none of us were in front of the camera, Camila's sister once again assisted us with these moments. We laughed so much that we took longer than we thought to complete several of the parts.  What's up gang? This blog is going to be explaining the beginnings of Camila and I's final project. I will just be discussing the first day of our two days of filming today. After school on February 14, 2024, we started filming. Since that was the only day we could see Santiago, we wanted to film every scenario he was in on this particular day. First, we set out all the supplies he would need for the scenarios, including paper and markers. All he had to do was sketch on the blank piece of paper, which we had to explain to him. We had to assist him since it took us a few tries to get him to draw anything more than simply scribbles. We each sketched several simple drawings of various objects, including rainbows, cars, trees, and animals. Because Santiago is still a toddler, we had my mom help explain things to him so he would know what to do. Despite the fact that he would easily become sidetracked, we had to retake a lot of shots.
