What titles are displayed during the opening sequence?

The first titles given are the main actors of the movie, then followed by the title of the movie. Then comes more of the actor's names, the people who casted the actors, the costume designers, the music composer, the co-producers, and the editors.

Followed by that was the production designer, the director of photography, the executive producers, the writers, the producers, and the director.

In the beginning of the title sequence, there is the image of an explosion happening in what looks like a jungle, and a camp on the outskirts being deserted, and then a wide shot to show the full scale of the explosion.

After that the title of the movie is given behind a black screen, and the next scenes are given to tell a story. 

We are introduced to an Army Medical Institute, and we follow employees here through the different Biosafety Levels that are being worked on, 1 being the less dangerous, and from there on the levels get more dangerous. There is a sudden cut at the end of the tour of the institute, to who we can assume is our main character listening to a call he is recieving.

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the title sequence?

We can automatically assume that the movie, titled "Outbreak", is about a virus outbreak, which is inherently a scary concept, but as we see the full scale of the explosion in the opening shot, with the background intense music, mainly drums, it can create an even more nerve-wrecking feeling.

The viewer isn't exactly reassured that everything is okay after this bomb has gone off as well, as the next scenes given are of a medical institution that show many scientists experimenting on viruses, which can lead the viewer the assume the worse of the explosion that had just occurred. The drum instrumental follows the title sequence through the medical institution as well, keeping the watchers on the edge of their seats.
