Production Blog- Finishing the Editing!
What's up gang?
I am back to explain the finishing of the editing of our music video. The last time I left off, was that I had sent the clips needed to be put together, to Lyne. They were sent to Lyne, because she has the most editing experience out of all of us. While Lyne was doing that, Aryanna, Camila, and I were assessing the timing of the clips I had sent to Lyne. At first, Lyne was not responding, and we began this process at night, so we decided that because she wasn't answering, we should review back the clips. From there, we figured out that the clips all together were too long. The three of us had to decide some clips that were just too long. We all decided to cut back on the clips of the four of us all together. These shots were taken for a while, because we didn't know of our video would end up being too short in the end, so it was just done as a precaution. I then sent the cut down shots to Lyne to put together.
That's all we did for that day. The following day, Lyne had told us that she had put the clips together in chronological order of the story in the music video. She said that she also made sure to put the music over it, obviously. From there, the four of us looked at the music video together, and determined how to edit the clips lighting, or if we even should, any clips that looked out of place, and captions. We all determined that the lighting of the videos were sufficient, and picked up the right colors we wanted it to convey. There was only a single shot that we found that didn't look in place with the entire video. When Camila was chasing me, she has a little pumpkin in her shirt, that can be seen in shots taken before. It falls put during the chase and there's another shot taken that zooms into it on the ground. It won't be used after that scene when it does fall out, because we don't know if our music video is running too long or too close to being too long. It may be the final shot of the music video, but that's the only thing left to determine. The last thing we did, was put captions where needed, which was only in the beginning, to show what the cake said, as the writing was definitely messy, and at the end to signify the end of the music video. This entire process has been very long, but I'm glad you guys came for the ride! I'm very excited to show it off.
