Welcome back gang!
I started discussing how I shot the music video, the opening sequences, and our individual shots in the previous blog. Now it's time to speak about the continuation of our shooting for the video.
It was time for the group scenes after each person had their ideal solo shot. These scenes were captured on camera by Camila's younger sister. The group scenario where we were all awkwardly staring around without saying anything had to be the worst. We all had to stay concentrated, which made it the most difficult to shoot. To avoid having to make eye contact, we all tried to gaze in various directions. If we had, we would have laughed. However, the rest seemed easy following this particular scene.
The following moments were rather simple to shoot because we could all be chatting and eating together. We simply carried on a normal discussion, occasionally making jokes to make each other laugh. You won't be able to hear the conversation after editing, but you can still tell that we're having a chat.
The next scene involved us throwing food at each other because it was supposed to be a food battle.
We broke up some of the cookies and flung them at each other since we didn't want to get too messy with each other. Because of how food fights and wars appear in movies and television shows, our group as a collective was excited to take part in one. I think my favorite scene has to be this one.
The scene where the cake was being smashed was one of the most important ones. We only had enough cake for one shot because we only had one. Fortunately, it worked out on the first attempt, which needed to be flawless. I was the one who smashed the cake into Camila's head. I had to make sure I could hit her in the head with the cake without actually hurting her. After finally getting the shot of me putting cake into Camila's face, she got her revenge on me in the following shot. Camila wanted to get rid of the cake on herself, so we had to shoot the remaining sequences fast though. I'm seen getting chased by Camila in the next scene, after she gets ahold of some of the cake herself. She than catches up to me and puts cake all down my back and hair. Camila's sister is running after us in this shot, to keep up with us, so the action in it is well done and good compared to us sitting down primarily in the video.
Lyne and Aryanna were the only ones running towards us in the next scene. We may add a final scene at the end, but for now that's where it ends. We filmed some extra scenes just in case for this scenario as well.
We tidied up our mess after shooting to make sure we didn't leave any trash behind. All in all, I am very eager to start the editing process and I can't wait to see the finished product. I appreciate your support during this process and I'm excited for being able to put the shots together!
